Kevin Ellis is a Managing Director of Horse Cove Partners LLC, an investment adviser with offices in Atlanta, GA. Drawing upon his 30 years of strategic, legal, management and business experience, he serves as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Ellis has been fortunate to be associated with, and has served as the Chief Operating Officer and strategist of multiple investment companies.
Mr. Ellis moved to Atlanta from Minneapolis, MN where he was the Principal of the Labyrinth Group LLC, an investment company that he co-founded in 2001 to offer clients a fund of hedge funds structured warrant product. Prior to that, Mr. Ellis was with SUPERVALU, the nation’s largest grocery wholesale company for 8 years and held multiple positions there. Upon leaving the company for the investment business, Mr. Ellis was the Vice President of Business Planning for their Retail Foods Division.
Prior to SUPERVALU, Mr. Ellis was an attorney in private practice in the Twin Cities and was admitted to the practice of law in Minnesota in 1983. Mr. Ellis is a Cum Laude graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law and a Magna Cum Laude Graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato where he earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Finance, Management and Industrial Relations and has a minor in Economics. Mr. Ellis is an amateur photographer and has recently photographed Machu Picchu, the canals of Venice, the art work of Florence and the Vatican.
