Sam DeKinder is a founder and Managing Director of Horse Cove Partners LLC, an investment adviser with offices in Atlanta, GA. Mr. DeKinder chairs the Investment Committee.
Mr. DeKinder held sales and sales management positions with INVESCO, one of the largest asset management firms in the world. Joining INVESCO in 1989, Mr. DeKinder was Director of Sales, Marketing and Relationship Management for the Institutional Division from 1993 to 2005. He retired from INVESCO in 2006 as Global Partner.
Prior to INVESCO, Mr. DeKinder was a principal and co-founder of DeMarche Associates, one of the nation’s leading investment consulting firms. He has held management positions with the investment firm of Waddell & Reed, Inc. and the IBM Corporation. He is the author of numerous articles on asset management and a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Mr. DeKinder is a native of Oklahoma and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Economics and Statistics. He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (Atlanta Chapter) and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Mr. DeKinder and his wife Cynthia reside in Atlanta, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina.
